Hey, I'm Lisa!
Hi, I’m Lisa Pirie, co-founder of Kent Kinnections and Acey Bookkeeping, based in Kent. Along with my mum, Anne, we run a family business dedicated to helping small businesses get their finances in order. We offer affordable, no-nonsense bookkeeping services, and we specialise in helping businesses in the hospitality industry.
I’ve been in the bookkeeping world for years and absolutely love helping business owners take the stress out of their finances. I’m a Certified Bookkeeper and a Xero Silver Partner, which means I’ve got the skills to help businesses keep track of their numbers, stay compliant, and ultimately save them time and money.
What I love most about my job is working closely with each client to understand their needs and find the right solution that works for them. I believe in keeping things clear, simple, and jargon-free – I’m here to make things easier, not harder.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying active. I’m all about balance in life and work, and I carry that mindset into everything I do. Through Kent Kinnections, I’m excited to connect with local businesses, share knowledge, and help others grow and succeed!

Hi, I’m Steph Nicolson, co-founder of Kent Kinnections and the founder and Director of Books & Balance Ltd, based in Gillingham, Kent. I’m all about helping businesses get a handle on their finances so they can focus on what really matters – growing and thriving. With years of experience across different industries, I’ve developed a solid understanding of everything from bookkeeping and VAT to cash flow management and financial reporting.
At Books & Balance, my approach is simple: I provide clear, jargon-free financial support that’s tailored to your business needs. I want to make finance easier for you, so you can make the best decisions and keep your business moving forward.
I’m also really passionate about supporting neurodivergent entrepreneurs and love connecting with fellow business owners. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family or getting involved in community activities.
My aim is to help businesses like yours reach their full potential, with a focus on balance, simplicity, and growth.
